Little Women

What a nice to spin to a classic tale! The movie Little Women was filled with emotion and pose. The cast was nicely put together with each character having her own personality. The gender roles I saw were evident from the title of the film to the way all the female characters dressed in fancy gowns. The fact that one girl allowed the others to call her Daisy just to fit in at the dance, while the aunt pressured Beth to marry rich. I like the variations in the cinematics and thought they helped bring different emotions to the scenes. The mother did a great job in setting an example of a strong parent while the father was away. The bond shared between the sisters was remarkable and everything I would imagine it to be with them being close in age. Lordi’s character for me was a typical young man unsure of what he wants until hit with rejection and then is certain of what he wants!
